The Tombs' 99 Days Club is our way of showing that perfect attendance does matter. Members of the club visit The Tombs every day for the last 99 Days of the school year.
The 1st day of the Club is Saturday, February 9th and the last day is 99 Days later on May 18th 2012.
Pre-registration begins on Tuesday, February 5th. We encourage you to sign up early!
You must order one drink (a shot does not count) or one item of food (take out does not count) in The Tombs every day. (We consider the day from when we open that morning until we close at night; after midnight does not count as a second day)
Present your ID to your server or bartender when you place your order to have your name added to your check to receive credit for the day. (It is your responsibility to confirm that your name is rung up on your check each & every day…don't forget to check!)
Up to 10 out of town absences are excused with a receipt showing you had food or drink at a restaurant or bar (it MUST be a restaurant or bar: no take-out, gas station, convenience store, etc). Fill an out of town slip and submit the receipt to the day bartender to receive credit for the missed day. Out of town is considered 20 miles or more from The Tombs as calculated by Google maps.
Over Spring Break, you can send us a postcard from wherever you are and receive credit for March 2nd to March 10th. Our address: 1226 36th St. NW Washington DC 20007
The most interesting Spring Break souvenir (as determined by the bartenders & managers) receives a prize! Turn the souvenir into the bartender when you return.
Credit will be given for Easter Break (March 28th-April 1st) if you email or bring in a picture of you with the Easter bunny (or you can bring in receipts as long as you don't go over the 10 total max).
An absence can be made up by passing a test given by The Tombs (up to 2 absences can be made up with 2 passing tests). Please see a manager to set up a time for the test.
It is your responsibility to make sure that your name is spelled correctly on the final list for the 99 Days Club Plaque.
Weekly prizes will be given away each Wednesday ("Senior Night") at 11:3opm starting February 20th. All active members will be entered in raffle. Must be present to win.
